Crossing the bridge of death education
As you know, end of life conversations are often fragile, difficult, awkward and if poorly timed they can be disastrous. As a result, they are often ignored or neglected and that is much worse.
If you need to talk about life and death, why not introduce your patients and their families to us. We can have the conversation on your behalf.

When we say nothing
As part of a MSc research thesis, we interviewed 2 focus groups of people who had been through a bereavement. We wanted to know what they knew about dying, we expected them to know a lot.
The shocking truth was that despite being through a bereavement, they knew very little about death and dying.
The real problem was not that they knew nothing about dying, but that they were left knowing nothing about dying. The doctors failed in their duty of care to provide death education to this vulnerable group of people, and they had to fend for themselves.
This was our motivation for writing “Death, Dying and Donuts” – We provide easy-to-understand education about death and dying, so that no one is left behind.
Our offer to you
We have produced an easy-to-read resource on death and dying. The feedback we have received is very positive and this book has impacted many lives.
We would love you to recommend this to your patients and their families but before you do, we would invite you to “test drive “the book.
*Conditions: 1 book per practice.
